Santa Fe

Experience "The City Different"

A few days to spend in Santa Fe.... hmmm.....should we have breakfast at Clafoutis and then head to the Plaza for some shopping? Or should we get a quick tea to go from The Teahouse on Canyon Road and spend the morning peeking into art galleries? Then maybe this afternoon let's go to one of the fabulous spas in the area! How about tomorrow we plan an excursion to see the Bandelier National Monument and hike up to the waterfall on Falls Trail? Then come back for happy hour at Dinner for Two? If we do that, then we will have time at Casa de Flora to relax and hang out with a nice glass of wine while we hot tub and watch the end of a lovely day! The next day we can take a jeep tour around Santa Fe and come back, have a bite for lunch on the Plaza at Palacio Restaurant and then see Loretto Chapel and all of the amazing historical sites right in the middle of Santa Fe! And tomorrow we HAVE to do the Margarita Trail before we take in the Opera . . . Hmmm....what to choose? :) Each day is a unique, delightful one of a kind experience as you explore "The City Different". Come back again and again. . . It's never the same!
History. Culture. Heritage.
The culture, rich heritage, and deep history, for which Santa Fe is known, can be discovered through the many avenues of architecture, art galleries, festivals, cuisine, performing arts, museums, and much more. The earliest settled capital in the United States of America, and boasting the oldest continuously occupied building, The Palace of the Governors, the city is a beautiful blend of Pueblo Indians, Mexicans, Spaniards, and eventually Anglos in the mid 19th century. This diverse background gives Santa Fe its unique position as 'The City Different.' Many buildings that date back hundreds of years still stand. It is mandated that any new structure must reflect the Spanish-Pueblo style of architecture. All of this combines to give Santa Fe a feel like no other city in the USA.

Shop. Eat. Unwind.

FOOD Santa Fe cuisine has some of the best, most unique styles of food, from gourmet to street tacos, where the flavor of the desert and the beauty of the landscape are somehow reflected in the aromas and fusions of local fare. Chefs from all over the world bring their talents, knowledge, and skills to blend with the special local produce to create unforgettable combinations. You can follow the Margarita Trail, or perhaps order your mexican food "Christmas Style". Santa Fe cuisine is one of a kind like the city itself, so make sure and try all of the outstanding eateries . SHOPPING Santa Fe somehow feels like stepping back in time. Shop for jewelry made and sold by local Native American artisans. They can be found each day selling their unique designs at the Plaza. Or visit the many unique one of a kind shops to find distinctive textiles, wares, jewelry, art and clothing, all with a Santa Fe flair. SPAS Make sure you take time to relax and visit one of the many local spas.

Canyon Road alone is home to more than 100 world-class art galleries and boutiques. In 2005, Santa Fe made US history by becoming a UNESCO Creative City. PERFORMING ARTS Santa Fe proudly supports 18+ perfoming arts venues, including the Santa Fe Opera House, Sky Railway, and so much more.
